Louise Chisson

Louise Chisson is a French violinist. Born in Bordeaux, she has become an original and multifaceted artist, demonstrating her outstanding skills in the classical and romantic repertoire as well as in modern and contemporary music. Used to the stage from a very early age, she has performed with numerous orchestras - including the Orchestre de Chambre de Toulouse, the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, the Deutsche Kammerakademie.

She plays with pianist Tamara Atschba since 2008, a duo highly praised by public and critics. Their last Album "20th Century feminine", published by Hänssler Klassik in Germany, has entered the nomination for the Grammy Awards® 2022 and the Deutsche Schallplattenkritik. In January 2022 their Album "20th Century feminine" was honored with the Diapason d’Or.

Her special affection for chamber music brings her to collaborate with artists such as Gary Hoffman, Ophélie Gaillard, Dora Schwarzberg, Augustin Dumay, etc. She is also the first violin in the Ensemble Lux string quartet. Noticed for her great technical mastery and deep musical personality, her programs and the quality of her interpretations always delight the audience. Beside her various concert engagements, she organizes events in France and Austria herself. She has been teaching since 2015 and is currently working at the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna.
